Establishing the Foundation of Learning
Mayaram Harikamal Education Trust Nansad was founded with the vision of providing free and quality education to underprivileged children in rural Kamrej, Surat. At a time when education was inaccessible to many, our school became a beacon of hope, ensuring that children, regardless of their financial background, could receive an education and build a better future.
2000
Launch of the Mid-Day Meal Program
Understanding the importance of nutrition in a child’s education, we introduced the Mid-Day Meal Program. This initiative ensured that students receive healthy, home-cooked meals at school, helping them stay focused in class and reducing drop-out rates. By addressing hunger and malnutrition, we created a stronger foundation for learning and overall well-being.
2010
Introduction of Computer Education
Recognizing the importance of technology in modern education, we equipped our school with 11 functional computers and a computer-aided learning lab. This step helped bridge the digital divide, allowing students to learn basic computer skills, digital literacy, and interactive learning techniques. With this initiative, we empowered children with the tools they need to compete in an increasingly digital world.
2015
Expanding Our Library to 1,420+ Books
To cultivate a reading culture and enhance literacy, we expanded our school library to house 1,420+ books. These books include textbooks, storybooks, and reference materials that help students develop knowledge, imagination, and curiosity. With access to a diverse range of learning materials, students now have a space to read, explore, and dream big.
2020
Modernizing Classrooms and Facilities
To create a safe, comfortable, and inspiring learning environment, we upgraded our school infrastructure. This included renovating classrooms, improving sanitation facilities, ensuring clean drinking water, and maintaining a pucca boundary wall. These improvements have led to better attendance, increased student engagement, and a more effective learning experience.
